Protecting your property against flooding!
When protecting your property against flooding its important to do it right so it works the most effective.There are many different ways you can protect your property including Flood boards, Airbrick covers, Sandbags or alternative barriers, Toilet bungs (only needed for downstairs toilets or any other flood product.
Sandbags are a great way to protect your property as long as they are stacked correctly.

These facilities are designed to help local residents to take action to protect their properties at Flood Warning status, and may be used an an addition to residents own defences.
How you can help!
Whenever you are out walking alongside the River Caen and happen to notice an obstruction to the river please find the nearest map reference sign which have recently been installed in locations from St Brannock's Church to Velator and phone the EA Incident Hotline on 0800 80 70 60 and quote the reference number on the sign. This will help keep the river flowing and minimise the risk of it overflowing.
